In addition to the phone's affordable price, the carrier is also offering monthly unlimited plans at prices ranging from $40 to $50.

The Contour is an entry-level feature-phone compatible with MetroPCS's CDMA 800MhMHz/PCS 1900 MHz and AWS Band 1700/2100 MHz.

It has a sub-par VGA camera, but makes up for it with its included 1GB flash memory and 512 MB RAM. Samsung Contour comes with a 2.0-inch QQVGA TFT main display and a 1.07-inch secondary CSTN screen.

The clamshell measures 106 x 43 x 13.7mm and weighs 86g (battery included). Users have unlimited internet access through the MetroWEB service. Messaging options are also offered by the phone in the form of SMSs and MMSs.

The Contour is equipped with Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP support, which can be used for hands-free calling or listening to the music without wired earphones.

The device also comes with the Iron Carousel feature, which offers users access to one-touch messaging, one-touch calendar and one-touch speakerphone technology.

Personalization and customization is also possible thanks to the wide range of apps included, as well by downloading ringtones, wallpapers and games.

Samsung Contour is available in bright red color and comes with a few MetroPCS-specific services such as MetroWEB Internet Access, Metro 411 Directory Assistance, MetroBACKUP, mail@metro Unlimited E-mail and MyMetro Account Manager.

The MetroPCS's Metro 411 Directory Assistance application provides business and residential listings directly to the phone.

Users only need to type in their request and they will receive in a short time their phone numbers, maps, directions, or even a list of nearby businesses.

The clamshell's battery is rated by the manufacturer for up to 3.3 hours of talk time or 200 hours of standby time.
