Samsung may have made its share of single-product announcements ever since it came to exist, but this is not what happened on the enterprise display market, the outfit having unleashed four new lines of large LCDs.

When it comes to display solutions, it isn't easy to find any sort of screen that hasn't been made or at least imagined.

The LCD (liquid crystal display) technology and LED backlighting have become an especially effective pair recently, showing up in both end user-oriented and industrial panels alike.

Now, it seems that Samsung has used that exact combination in the making of its four latest professional commercial displays.

One of those lines, the HE Series, aimed at lobbies and medical offices (or other moderate-use scenarios for that matter) has already been covered in detail here, but it is only the first of four display sets set to soon start selling.

The second collection is dubbed ME and is intended for digital signage, with display sizes of 40, 46 and 55 inches.

They strive to achieve as low a power draw as possible, enabling lower cost of ownership. Samsung also made sure they can be installed quickly and easily.

That said, they all have integrated TV tuners, plus Displayport and HDMI connectivity, along with the MagicInfo Lite technology, which makes it easy to play digital signage content via USB.

As for the image quality itself, the Full HD resolution (1,920 x 1,080 pixels) is complemented by the contrast ratio of 5,000:1 and the viewing angles (horizontal and vertical) of 178 degrees.

Other specifications include a very slim frame (29.9 mm) and content control through RS232C and RJ45 interfaces.

Like the HE series, the three ME displays will become available in the third quarter. Their prices will be of $1,227 for the ME40A, $1,578 for the ME46A and $2,338 for the ME55A.
