Mobile Phones instead of a classic board

EA takes skating from the street and puts it on mobile phones in a new game with some impressive graphics. To celebrate the launch of SKATE, the developer has recreated seven iconic skate spots from San Francisco and Barcelona and placed them in skate parks across the country.

It is clear that Skate is more than a small fish in the huge mobile gaming pond. It is actually a successful concept that has been adapted to the demands of the restrictive mobile environment. The great thing about it is that it makes a dynamic and highly entertaining action, as the player can perform ollies, grinds and many other tricks specific for this game.

The goal that the player must pursuit in EA's new Skate game is that of becoming skateboarding superstar. It's a challenging thing to do and asks for many slick moves to capture the camera's attention and interest by managing to land on the cover of Thrasher magazine. The mobile game sets the skating action in the fictional city of San Vanelona, but also adds some real life elements. One thing that those who are serious about this game will appreciate is the fact that they have the occasion of interacting with professional skaters such as Danny Way, Chris Cole, Mike Carroll and Rob Dyrdek.

"Whether you're a hardcore skater or a casual gamer who has never been on a skateboard before, you'll be able to experience the thrills of extreme skateboard action with simple controls that make it easy and fun for anyone to pull 360s, grinds, kick-flips and more", considers Travis Boatman, VP of Worldwide Studios at EA Mobile. The reason for this comes from the fact that " SKATE delivers all the hallmarks of a quality mobile title with exciting graphics, approachable gameplay and accessible challenges", as Travis Boatman further added.

EA has managed to add even more realistic adaptation in its mobile gaming line of applications. Skate will be available from now on for purchase and download from most major mobile operators in North America and Europe.
