Vivendi Games Mobile and O2 UK will have Stephen Massart from London to star in the new Crash of the Titans mobile game. The man will play the role of Crash Bandicoot's new and menacing foe, DIMBO. What an honor...

Few are those who even dare to hope they can make this dream (having to star in a movie) come true. Mobile phone games sound more down to earth, but playing a character called Dimbo sounds not like an exceptional opportunity. Still, it may be a fun competition to many people who decided to subscribe and take their chance at winning the part.

"We are thrilled to award Stephen Massart this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to become a major video game character", said Paul Maglione, president of Vivendi Games Mobile. "Working with O2 on this innovative activity was a great experience, and shows how the mobile game platform has evolved to the point where we can actively involve consumers into gameplay in the context of iconic video game brands", he further added.

It looks like a large number of people jumped at the idea of competing for having a character inspired by them in Vivendi's new game. This has resulted in a large number of game downloads and also of subscribers deciding to take a chance at the big prize. "Our customers were downright thrilled about the unique contest and the chance at being a star in a mobile game", said Anthony Douglas, Head of Games, O2 UK.

Crash of the Titans is based on the billion-dollar Crash Bandicoot franchise which has sold more than 35 million console units up to this point. O2 has launched this competition back in April. At that time, people were invited to enter the contest by playing Crash Bandicoot Mini Games. The new Crash of the Titans game will be released in October 2007 for mobile subscribers across Europe.
