Without a doubt, there are certain situations when using a normal mouse (even a wireless one) is next to impossible, and this is exactly the reason why Japanese company SIGMA APO has developed the SGMRF3 mouse, a wireless, handheld accessory that many users will most likely find to be quite useful.

Similar to some of the other few such PC accessories we've come across up until now, the new SGMRF3 mouse from has been specifically designed for handheld use, meaning that not only does its shape is adapted to that of the human hand, but it also packs a trackball, located on the top side and used for moving around the pointer.

Now, moving on to the actual specs the mouse from SIGMA APO has in store, we'll have to start by saying that carrying it around shouldn't prove to be much of a problem, given the fact that it measures just around 99 x 54.2 x 55 mm and weighs around 81 grams.

The device operates on the already way too common 2.4 Ghz frequency band, has a functioning range of around 3 meters, and requires users to insert a tiny (19.5 x 15 x 5 mm, 1 gram) USB adapter into one of the available ports on their computers.

Additionally, it's also interesting to mention that this peripheral also offers a choice of 400/800 dpi resolutions, which should prove to be OK enough, especially for the mouse's specific range of applications.

Furthermore, the device should offer a fairly good functioning life, its 2 x AAA batteries providing roughly 50 days of non-stop power, which is quite an impressive achievement, to say the least.

Last, but certainly not least, we'll have to point out that pricing for the new wireless, handheld mouse from SIGMA APO has been set at around 5,980 Japanese Yen (or roughly 73 US dollars), which is actually more than decent, all things considered.
