South Korean mobile phone maker Samsung is the one company that moves forth without making too much case about its achievements or future plans. Even so, it seems that small bits and scraps regarding some of the handsets that the manufacturer will release into the wild are still surfacing around the Web.

The latest handset that has been spotted bearing Samsung’s name is the Samsung InstinctQ, a fresh flavor of the already known Instinct, it seems. The new device surfaced at the Wi-Fi organization, where it appears to already have received certification, meaning that this is yet another Samsung mobile phone that should offer its users seamless Internet connectivity.

The Wi-Fi Interoperability Certificate that shows the handset's connectivity features does not unveil any more details on the device, as the only information that can be extracted from there includes the InstinctQ name, the SPH-M900 model name it seems to come around with, and the IEEE 802.11b and IEEE 802.11g WLAN standards it should offer support to.

Other than that, we cannot say anything more about the upcoming Samsung InstinctQ, except maybe for the rumor that comes straight from Cellpassion regarding the mobile operating system that the phone will bear. According to a post on the website, this would be another Android-powered device that the company is getting ready to unveil to the world.

For the time being, the Android-based part in the news story remains deep in the rumor world, yet there are great chances that the mobile phone maker will choose the Google platform for another device of its own. If this pans out, the phone might prove a success, due to a variety of factors, including the hype around Android, and the popularity of both the Samsung Instinct and of the company's first handset to feature the platform, the Samsung Galaxy i7500.
