One of the listings linked to an official Square Enix event strongly suggests that the publisher is getting ready to announce a new title in the Fabula Nova Crystalis series of video games, which so far has spawned Final Fantasy XIII.

Square Enix is apparently set to talk about the new game at an event called First Production Department where it has two sections, one linked specifically to its new franchise and another one dedicated to other titles.

We already know that the publisher is set to talk about Final Fantasy Versus XIII and about Agito XIII, but the presentation also includes a question mark listed, which probably means that another video game in the long-running franchise is being prepared.

Square Enix has registered the Internet domain named FinalFantasy13-2game.com, which seems to point to the fact that the new content is an expansion or a direct sequel to Final Fantasy XIII, with a new adventure being delivered featuring many of the same characters and the same in-game universe.

The initial Final Fantasy XIII has been launched more than one year ago in Japan and last year in the West and has garnered solid sales but has not been the huge hit that Square Enix was expecting.

The MMO Final Fantasy XIV is also in deep trouble following launch, with the developers promising that they will be rebooting the game and rebuilding until the expectations of gamers are satisfied and delaying the launch which was planned for the PlayStation 3.

The other section of the event will showcase Dissidia 012: Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts 3DS, but the section also includes two question marks, meaning that the publisher is ready to deliver two new titles, probably designed to use the upcoming 3DS handheld.

Square Enix could also talk about titles related to its Western operations, which are linked to Eidos.
