An image has surfaced, initially posted on the social network Facebook and then picked up by Reddit, which seems to suggest that Mass Effect 3, which has been launched for less than one week all over the world, is set to get a new piece of downloadable content which will be offering both new classes and new races to be used in the multiplayer section of the game.

The shown classes in the image are: Krogan Battlemaster, Asari Justicar, Batarian Soldier, Batarian Sentinel, Geth Engineer and Geth Infiltrator.

It is not clear whether these are all the classes that will be added or the developers also plan to offer more weapons and mods for those gamers who have already managed to get all the content that the game has to offer at the moment.

The pack will unlock all the new characters and classes for those who are willing to pay to get it, although a price has not been mentioned.

The new classes and the new characters will probably be also made available to the rest of the Mass Effect 3 player base although they will have a lower chance of getting access to them via drops from the store.

The poster who got the image says that he has managed to download the DLC from a developer server, which probably means that the content is pretty close to its launch date.

There is some speculation that the new content will be launched as part of a bundle which includes other merchandise like action figures and character statues.

Mass Effect 3 is the first title in the series to include a full multiplayer mode and BioWare has already made it pretty clear that they are planning to deliver more content both for it and for the single-player element.

The BioWare game has managed to sell close to 1 million copies in just 24 hours since launch.
