A listing on the official site of the Office of Film and Literature Classification from Australia, which is in charge of rating video games, suggests that Microsoft and Turn 10 might be ready to launch a new version, called Ultimate, of Forza Motorsport 3, presumably including all the downloadable content that the two companies ever launched for the video game.

The official name of the new edition will be Forza Motorsport 3: Ultimate Collection and could arrive before the end of this year, but Microsoft has declined to comment on the existence of the title, saying that the company has a position of not offering any comment on rumor and speculation.

Forza Motorsport 3 was launched in October 2009 and the developers at Turn 10 have worked hard to deliver more cars to the simulation experience, launching DLC packs with names like World Class Car Pack and Jalopnik Car Pack.

The price for all the new content has been 400 Microsoft Points, which translates to about 5 dollars.

If an Ultimate Edition is launched Turn 10 will probably pack in all the cars it has launched since October 2009 and will add a few extras to entice gamers to pick up the package.

Forza Motorsport 3 was initially seen as the main rival to Gran Turismo 5, the racing simulation from Polyphony Digital and Sony that was initially set to be launched in the fall of 2009.

The game is now scheduled to be released exclusively for the PlayStation 3 on November 2 in North America and one day later in Europe. The game is set to arrive with more than 1,000 simulated cars and about 70 track variants.

Microsoft could choose to launch Forza Motorsport 3 Ultimate Edition near the same date in order to get some more sales on the wave of publicity that will be linked with racing titles.
