The affordable DEFY MINI Android phone has just been officially introduced in Hungary. Although the smartphone is not yet available on the market, Motorola confirmed it would bring the device in the country in late April.

Customers who want a sturdy affordable Android smartphone will be able to purchase the DEFY MINI for only 46,900 HUF (155 EUR or 205 USD) outright via T-Mobile Hungary and Vodafone Hungary.

Firstly, Motorola DEFY MINI is a rugged smartphone, just like its predecessors, DEFY and DEFY+. In this regard, Motorola confirmed the DEFY MINI is dust-proof, water-resistant and features scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass coating.

Secondly, the smartphone comes with more than decent features, though it appears to be the cheapest Android phone ever launched by Motorola on the market.

Motorola DEFY MINI sports a crystal-clear 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports 320 x 480 pixels resolution and 262k colors.

Low price aside, the smartphone’s selling point is the long battery life. According to Motorola, the phone’s 1650 mAh Li-Ion battery should provide users with up to 500 hours of standby time or up to 10 hours of talk time.

On the back, the DEFY MINI embeds a 3-megapixel camera with LED flash and video recording, while on the front there’s a secondary VGA camera for video calls.

Hardware-wise, the smartphone is equipped with a low-performance 600 MHz single-core processor and packs 512 MB of ROM, 512 MB of RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

The phone is powered by Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system integrated with MotoSwitch user interface.

Motorola DEFY MINI is just the right mix of style, value, performance and toughness. It can stand up to whatever your busy life throws at you, keep you connected and organized, and capture and share your once-in-a-lifetime adventures – all with resilience and style,” said Małgorzata Matusiewicz, head of marketing, Central Europe, Motorola Mobility.
