Motorola DEFY MINI has been recently launched in Sweden via 3 and Telia carriers. Today, the US-based handset maker announced the upcoming availability of the smartphone in Norway.

However, customers living in Norway who wish to purchase the DEFY MINI will have to wait about three more weeks for the smartphone to arrive in the country.

According to Motorola, the DEFY MINI will be available for purchase from major authorized resellers across the country for a price that will be disclosed closer to launch.

Aimed at active people who spend lot of time outdoor, Motorola DEFY MINI offers durability, reliability and functionality.

In this regard, the smartphone is dust-proof, water-resistant and features a scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass display that protects the screen against scrapes and scratches.

Motorola DEFY MINI is the smallest smartphone in the DEFY family and measures 109 x 58.5 x 12.6mm. For a rugged device, this one really looks nice.

Software-wise, the handset runs Google's Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system integrated with MotoSwitch user interface for a much smoother experience with the device. Don't get your hopes high, as the DEFY MINI is likely to be stuck on Gingerbread for a very long time.

On the inside, the smartphone is equipped with a 600 MHz single-core processor, which is complemented by 512 MB of RAM, 512 MB of ROM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB).

There's also a 3-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and video recording, as well as a secondary VGA front-facing camera for video calls.

Motorola DEFY MINI is just the right mix of style, value, performance and toughness. It can stand up to whatever your busy life throws at you, keep you connected and organized, and capture and share your once-in-a-lifetime adventures – all with resilience and style,” said Victoria McManus, UK and Nordics marketing director, mobile devices, Motorola Mobility.
