Canadian mobile phone carrier Rogers is among those planning the release of Samsung Galaxy Tab in the country, and some leaked internal documents from the company has just unveiled all the necessary info on the pricing it would put in place for the slate.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab is expected to hit Rogers in the near future, while being priced at $539.99 upon the signing of a three-year contract agreement with the wireless carrier.

Of course, this is not the only offer Rogers plan on putting in place for its users, it seems.

Canadians would be able to purchase the new Android-based tablet PC for $564.99 on a two-year contract, while having to pay $599.99 for it on a one-year agreement.

At the same time, they would also have the possibility to get the Galaxy Tab without a contract, case in which they would have to get $674.99 out of their pockets for the device.

According to a recent article on MobileSyrup, which brought the info to the web, the leaked document from Rogers also stated that “price is subject to change,” though it remains to be seen whether the rumor would pan out or not.

We should also mention that Rogers won't be the only wireless carrier in Canada to have the tablet PC available for its users, as Bell is also preparing to make a similar move.

For those who might have not encountered the Samsung Galaxy Tab before, we should mention that this is the first Android-based slate from the South Korean mobile phone maker.

The device runs under Google's Android 2.2 Froyo operating system, sports a 7-inch touchscreen display, and is powered by a 1GHz application processor.

At the same time, it comes with a 3 megapixel photo snapper on the back, and with a 1.3 megapixel camera on the front, to offer video calling capabilities to users.

Other specifications of this device include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and 3G connectivity, 16GB/32GB of internal memory, and microSD memory card slot for expanded storage space.
