As we reported earlier this week, Rogers is about to launch Samsung's Infuse 4G smartphone, but the Canadian carrier didn't mention the exact release date of the phone.

However, thanks to the guys over at Best Buy, we now know that Samsung Infuse 4G will be available for purchase on July 26 for $149.99 with a new three-year agreement.

Potential customers who wish to purchase the smartphone directly from Best Buy and avoid being tied down by a long-term contract must pay $549.99 upfront.

Moreover, Rogers is offering additional price options to those customers who prefer a shorter agreement: $449.99 on a two-year term and $499.99 with a new one-contract.

Android fans that are not yet familiar with the Infuse 4G capabilities should know that this is one of the Android smartphones with the largest display available on the market.

Samsung Infuse 4G features a large 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus capacitive touchscreen display with 16 million colors support and 480 x 800 pixels resolution.

Furthermore, the smartphone is powered by Android 2.2 (Froyo) along with Samsung's proprietary TouchWiz 3.0 UI.

The only disappointment might be the single core ARM Cortex A8 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz instead of a dual core CPU.

It boasts a superior 8-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash, touch focus, face and smile detection, as well as video recording capabilities (1080p).

A secondary 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera was included as well to allow users to make video calls whenever they feel like it.

Other highlights of the Infuse 4G include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity, Bluetooth 3.0 with A2DP support, 16GB of internal memory, microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB, 2GB memory card included), as well as integrated GPS.

The HSPA+ enabled smartphone will be fully compatible with Rogers 4G network, which means that it can reach peak download speeds of 21Mbps.
