Robert Pattinson is mobbed on a day out, gets into fender bender because of it

Robert Pattinson is undeniably one of the most famous faces of today’s cinema, having starred in three “Twilight” movies and effectively contributing to it becoming a social phenomenon. Sadly, being this famous and universally loved also comes with a downside: too much exposure. Just recently, the star got into a fender bender after being mobbed by paparazzi, CeleBuzz informs.

This is not the first time that Pattinson literally finds himself in a position where he can’t possibly enjoy even the smallest things that we do and take for granted every single day. The actor spent the day out in Malibu, California, and was inevitably spotted by the paps, who simply refused to lose sight of him for the rest of the day, even following his car and prompting him to talk to the cops. He also reportedly hit a parked car as he was trying to escape the paps.

“Robert Pattinson’s charm and mojo are so strong, that even the guy whose car he reportedly smacked into seems to be wooed by his aura. The Twilight actor reportedly got in a fender-bender on Saturday night, colliding with a parked car as he left a friend’s Malibu, California, home. According to witnesses, the accident occurred at approximately 9 p.m., as R-Pattz ran into a parked Kia. The car’s owner, Rob Gottschlich, tells OK! Magazine that he isn’t likely to pursue the issue – except for maybe hitting up R-Pattz for free movie tickets the next time he sees him,” the aforementioned e-zine says.

Contacted for comment, Pattinson’s rep says neither he nor his client (Robert, that is) has no knowledge of hitting a car. The Malibu Sheriff’s Office too says no accident occurred since none was reported. However, the actor’s spokesperson adds, if the fender bender did take place, it was because he was “relentlessly pursued by paparazzi.” Such a statement may sound like the rep is playing the pin the blame game, but a single look at the video below gives a fair idea of the madness Pattinson has to deal with on a daily basis.

The video shows the actor trying at least on three separate occasions to reason with the photographers, telling them that they should leave him alone if they snapped all the pictures they need. He also tries to convince them that there’s no use following him because they will not find out where he lives – and failing to do so. In the end, a visibly exasperated Robert goes to the police to ask for some privacy.
