At 24, British actor Robert Pattinson has come a very long way to become one of the most recognizable faces in the industry. He’s an idol to millions of women from around the world and has critics saying he has a wonderful and successful career ahead – if only he gets to live past 30, which Pattinson doesn’t see happening right now, the Daily Mail informs.

With “Twilight: Eclipse” only two weeks away, it’s no wonder Twi-hards finally get a fix for their craving for all things Twilight, including interviews with the usually very secretive three main stars. Speaking with Nightline about fame and what it’s like to have become internationally recognizable in the space of less than a year, Pattinson admits he does have his moments when he fears too many good things happened to him too soon. There must be some sort of balance, the actor believes – and chances are he upset it.

“I guess I just thought if too many good things happen, then you’re going to die at 30. I didn’t want that to happen. Yeah, so probably, I’m going to die at 30. Actually, it’s God saying, ‘Hey, you shouldn’t have asked for too much’,” Pattinson says. Of course, he would still do the same if he had the chance to turn back time and he’s not sorry for how famous he’s become. “It’s not what people tell you when people warn you of being an actor. If and when I have children, [and] they ask if they want to be actors, I’m like ‘Yeah, it’s great. You don’t have to do anything. Everything goes right’,” the British star jokes.

There is a downside to fame, though, and it has a lot to do with people wanting his own life to replicate that of Edward in the film franchise, Pattinson says in a separate interview, this time for Parade magazine. While the actor admits that kissing co-star Kristen Stewart felt more natural than it did while working on the previous two films and that they got to act more like “a normal couple,” this is as far as things go, he says. He understands that fans would love to see them together but, for the time being, it’s just not going to happen, RPattz says.

“I guess people like stories, that’s my basic conclusion. Fans] just want everything in our lives to be like Twilight. The truth is that I wish I had a few more hours of sleep today so I could think of a better answer. I’m exhausted all the time,” Robert explains.
