Even though the public seems to have spoken against her in the Gamu Nhengu debacle, Cher Lloyd has some pretty big stars covering her back, aside from Cheryl Cole – like, for example, Robbie Williams.

The singer, who is not a stranger to problems resulted from stress and pressure of being in the spotlight, has spoken out to express his concerns about the diminute aspiring star.

As we also informed you a while back, word on the street has it Cher is not eating right and is so emotionally fragile producers are fearing she may not get to see the end of the show because she’ll drop out.

Admittedly, she also almost collapsed this Sunday, after the first results show. Robbie has heard of that and is worried about her because he believes she has real talent and staying power.

“I wasn’t as fragile as she is when I was 16, I want to give her a call but I don’t know if I can help,” Robbie tells X magazine, as cited by Monsters And Critics.

Pressure on the show can be tremendous. “She’s going through a difficult time, it’s not the best set-up for her,” the singer explains.

“She’s not going to have a good time this year,” Robbie adds, presumably also hinting at the media scandal that broke when Cheryl Cole gave Gamu the boot and fans turned against Cher.

For what it’s worth, Robbie believes in Cher and is convinced she has both talent and that extra something special to become the next huge pop star.

Still, perhaps fame has come too soon for her and she’s not yet prepared for it.

“She’s obviously got it but she’d have done well not to get through and have another year to come to terms with her personal life,” Williams says.

Speaking to the media the other week, Cher tried to defuse rumors that she was having a hard time on the show because she couldn’t cope with the stress, by saying she was ready to prove herself to the world.

“I am my own person. I feel like if you like me, you like me – if you don’t then I’ll see you later. I don’t have to try to be different from Cheryl I am my own person,” she also said, denying she was trying to emulate Cheryl Cole.
