Chinese mini PC solution provider Rikomagic hasn't been immune to the influences of the tech market, so a few weeks ago we told you the company was readying its own smartwatch product.

Well, now ArcTablet reports Rikomagic has already started selling its M3 smartwatch, so we can now provide you with a few extra details about the gadget in question.

The watch bundles a MediaTek MTK6250 processor under the hood and comes with a 1.54-inch touchscreen (240 x 240 resolution).

The timepiece is also equipped with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 3.0 and a 400 mAh which Rikomagic says should be enough to support 2 continuous days of use or 7 hours in standby mode. Charging is achieved via the USB port.

The Rikomagic has a Linux-based OS and could be thought of as a Samsung Galaxy Gear competitor. But the Chinese smartwatch is compatible with smartphones running Android 2.1 and more, while the Galaxy Gear will only play nice with the Galaxy series with Android 4.3 or above.

The Galaxy Gear is slightly more capable, but the Rikomagic has its perks. It’s precisely the stylish stainless steel plated dial, which makes the watch look pretty nifty, that I should draw your attention to.

The pricing is also a positive point, as the Rikomagic M3 sells for $93 / €68 (+$24 / €17 in shipping) from the Rikomagic Aliexpress store.
