Chinese Mini PC specialist Rikomagic known for products like MK802 has picked up the trend of wearable devices, so it too is planning to jump onboard of the smartwatch bandwagon.

The Rikomagic device has already been teased online and we now have a picture detailing the model, courtesy of ArcTablet. The product has been dubbed the M3 smartwatch and appears to be running Android, although Android Wear is also a possible viable variant.

Like most smartwatches out there, the Rikomagic M3 has been designed to act as a smartphone accessory. Basically, the wrist-mounted device will be capable of relaying calls, notifications and play music, as well.

The smartwatch will also have a Stop Watch, Alarm, Weather app, Calendar, Calculator, World time, Notes and Pedometer.

The new smartwatch hasn't been officially announced by Rikomagic, so I can’t tell you at what price you’ll be able to pick up the device, but it is to be expected the wearable will be marketed with a $100 / €73 price-tag.

It appears the upcoming Rikomagic is following the current smartwatch trend in terms of design, as well. The time-keeper seems to be pretty reminiscent of the Samsung Galaxy Gear with a smaller display. Would you consider buying a smartwatch from a Chinese device-maker?
