It’s been many weeks since Rihanna has retired from the spotlight and, at the same time, from the music scene. Following the alleged attack of then-boyfriend Chris Brown on February 8, Rihanna has stopped promoting her music and performing, but all that will change on May 28, as she will be making her comeback on stage, In Touch Weekly informs, citing an E! News report.

Both Rihanna and Chris Brown were scheduled to perform at this year’s Grammy Award, but both dropped out following the alleged attack. Since then, neither has done anything on a professional level, although speculation had it at some point that they were working together on a love duet that would show the world they were still very much in love. All this will change at the end of next month, the “Umbrella” star officially coming out of hiding, and back on the music stage, a rep says for the aforementioned publication.

“There will be over 25,000 tickets available,” says Mary Rachelle Cherpak, a spokeswoman for Dubai Tourism. “Normally they create a special stage in the desert for these events.” the same rep adds, according to In Touch. Despite revealing such exact details about the upcoming comeback, the rep does not name the location of the event, which has prompted the aforementioned publication to conclude that it will most likely be a “posh outdoor venue.” Prices for tickets have not been made public either but further info on the performance is bound to be released in the following days.

As noted above, since February 8, Rihanna has been keeping a very low profile, both as regards her personal life and her career as a singer. A while back, word got out in the media that she was back in the studio with Chris Brown nonetheless, working on a duet that would prove to the world their love story was pure and genuine. At the same time, the duet was supposed to show that they would remain together for better or for worse, even if that meant being beaten to a pulp for Rihanna, it was said at the time.

Since nothing came out of that duet talk, it is believed it was nothing but a rumor. Even so, it did show that Rihanna’s fans were eager to hear new music from her, while also being supportive to her through the alleged assault ordeal.
