Last week, a 30-second preview of Rihanna latest video, for the single “Rockstar 101,” premiered, getting fans all hyped about what the singer may have in story next for them. The full video has just premiered and suffice it to say it’s by no means a disappointing one, showing Rihanna putting on her most aggressive poses and even doing her best Slash impersonation at one point, as AceShowbiz can confirm.

The video, despite what one might have believed of it based on the preview, is actually in black and white, which makes Rihanna look all the more dramatic in her military-inspired outfits and gothic makeup. Though the song is about a girl being such a huge rock star she can rock even the skirt and the diamonds she had on, the camera only focuses on Rihanna and, in certain scenes, her band, of which Blink 182’s Travis Barker is also a part of on this particular release.

“‘Rockstar 101’ music video from Rihanna has been debuted. It shows off the Barbadian songstress channeling her collaborator Slash by wearing his signature top hat and long curly wig. In addition, she is also seen jamming with a band which has Blink-182’s Travis Barker playing the drums. Bassist Nikki Sixx of rock band Motley Crue actually was asked to make appearance in it, but he declined the offer. ‘Rihanna just asked me to be in her video for Rockstar. I respectfully said no. What do you guys think?’ he tweeted,” AceShowbiz says.

Apparently, “Rockstar 101” is not the only new video coming from Rihanna, as she’s also done shooting for “Te Amo,” which will premiere at a date that is yet to be announced. However, the style of the latter will be contrastingly different. “Beside ‘Rockstar 101’ music video, Rihanna is also preparing to release a clip to promote ‘Te Amo.’ She filmed the visuals at a 16th century castle of Vigny in the suburbs of Paris, France when staying in the country for the European leg of her Last Girl on Earth tour,” the aforementioned e-zine goes on to inform.

Both “Rockstar 101” and “Te Amo” are lifted off her “Rated R” album. The video for the former was directed by Melina Matsoukas, while Anthony Mandler helmed “Te Amo,” AceShowbiz further says. Moreover, Laeticia Casta will also be making a cameo in “Te Amo” – however, until that one drops, below is “Rockstar 101,” enjoy.
