Nippon optics manufacturer, Ricoh has just announced the availability of a new update for their Pentax Q, Q7 and Q10 mirrorless interchangeable-lens cameras that come with a few important fixes.

The firmware updates all Pentax Q models to correspond with the recently released PENTAX-08 WIDE ZOOM lens. In addition to that, overall stability for general performance has been improved for all the aforementioned models.

Moreover, the new firmware for Pentax Q7 mirrorless camera also comes with a few minor tweaks including the possibility to see the firmware version of the attached lens in the Firmware Info screen accessed through the [Set-up 4] menu.

Furthermore, the new Pentax Q7 firmware version 1.01 improves performance of the green button setting when using the Manual mode.

As a side note, after you update your Pentax Q digital camera firmware, the camera settings will be returned to default, so make sure you remember your current settings or write them down before updating the firmware.
