14 DAY TRIAL // Great news for “24” fans! As speculated a couple of days ago, Fox’s incredibly popular series “24” will return for a limited run in a slightly different format. The revived show will go by the official name “24: Live Another Day,” TV Line reports.
The announcement was made during a conference call to reporters by Fox entertainment chairman Kevin Reilly.
Of course, Kiefer Sutherland will return to reprise the Jack Bauer role.
“[It's] 24 compressed over 12 weeks. It will go chronologically over the day, but it will skip hours. It will be dictated by the plot,” Reilly says.
“[The producers realized that] 24 compressed into two hours is not 24. [It] is the perfect form[at]. The spine of the original 24 episodes was about 12 hours,” he adds.
With this new format, the show will focus on the essential more. In other words, the revived version of the show will be the concentrated form of “24,” if you will.
“24: Live Another Day” premieres in May 2014. Will you be tuning in?
