New achievements, additional single player and multiplayer content and more

Sidhe Interactive, a company responsible for one of the best racing titles ever developed, has confirmed a revamped version of GripShift for Xbox Live Arcade. The game will become available for download by the end of the year (no price point set for now), featuring improved visuals and controls, with additional single player and multiplayer content, such as new Challenge courses and a Deathmatch mode.

Aside from the improved controls and enhanced HD graphics, a full set of achievements and TrueSkill Leaderboards will motivate you even more to grab this title. Here's Mario Wynands, Managing Director of Sidhe Interactive, saying a few words:

"Veteran players and newcomers to the game will both find something to love in this definitive version of GripShift. We've added a substantial amount of new content, including new single player courses and a multiplayer Deathmatch mode for players bent on dominating their friends or climbing to the top of the leaderboards."

Here are some basic features confirmed by Sidhe Interactive themselves, for the revamped XBLA version of Gripshift, due out this year:

- Fresh Single Player Experience: 120 Challenge Mode levels with multiple objectives test your physical and mental reflexes as you race your way across vast Desert, Ice, Jungle and Horror themed worlds - The Complete Xbox LIVE Experience: Build up your Gamerscore by collecting an assortment of achievements, or contest the #1 slot on the TrueSkill Leaderboards - Two Manic Multiplayer Modes: Compete in four player online mayhem in Race Mode or frag friends and strangers during intense Deathmatch arena battles. - Compete across 25 race tracks and 20 Deathmatch arenas to find out who is the true master of speed and destruction - Bring the Pain: Gain the competitive edge and devastate your foes with an assortment of weapons and powerups. Master the Goo Gun, DeathRay, Flaming Shield, Jump Gun, TNT and other weapons to dominate the field - Upgraded HD 3D Visuals: The world of GripShift comes alive with enhanced 3D - HD graphics rendered at 720p 60fps
