Full game moving quite a bit slower

Capcom is announcing, to the joy of fans world wide, that it has created a demo version for its upcoming Resident Evil 5 zombie shooter set to arrive on Xbox Live on January 26. The idea behind the move is to get players a taste of what the new game has to offer and, of course, generate hype and anticipation before the official launch, which is set for March 13.

The demo is said to feature two full levels from the game, probably the one with the huts and chainsaw wielding boss we have already seen in a lot of the trailers and another one, and will allow players to complete them as many times as they want. The only catch is that the demo version itself will be available for one week beginning with January 26, so mark the date down in your calendar if you don't wanna miss the fun in case you consider facing an army of infected Majini, a big and angry Majini Executioner and a Chainsaw Majini to be fun. We sure do.

Capcom is so interested in drawing players to the game that it’s including three types of co operative play in the demo. You can play assisted by the AI, in split screen mode or over Xbox Live. On January 26, fans of the Resident Evil series will also have a chance to feast their optic nerves with a trailer of the game, which has only been showed at the Tokyo Game Show and will be available in full High Definition glory.

Resident Evil 5 is one of the biggest releases of 2009, with Capcom sparing no resource to create a game that manages to recapture the horror and the excitement of taking on hordes of zombies as Chris Redfield, the iconic leading man of Resident Evil. Let's just hope that his new companion, Sheva, turns out to be more than just another Elika.
