Developers of applications for the new Windows Phone 7 operating system from Microsoft should learn that a new phase of Ads in Windows Phone 7 Apps program kicked off today, with the launch of Microsoft Advertising’s solution for Windows Phone 7 developers and publishers in the United States.

The new solution is meant to offer a series of capabilities to Windows Phone 7 application developers, including self-service registration, account management, reporting and payout, based on the free Microsoft Advertising SDK for Windows Phone 7.

“To monetize Windows Phone 7 apps via a Microsoft Advertising solution, developers will need to register their applications,” Microsoft's Raj Kapoor announced via a post on Microsoft Advertising.

At the same time, he notes that devs will also have to “download and integrate the Microsoft Advertising SDK for Windows Phone 7, before submitting the app to Windows Phone Marketplace.”

Developers interested in the area should create an account on https://pubcenter.microsoft.com/ using their Windows Live ID, after which they will have to get through a self-guided on-boarding process the company put in place for all app builders.

“The easy self-service process includes steps to sign up, register mobile applications, create ad units and integrate the Microsoft Advertising SDK for Windows Phone 7 into your app,” Raj Kapoor continues.

Microsoft Advertising's solution for Windows Phone 7 offers developers the possibility to get ads into their application much easier, while enjoying faster development times.

There is a wide range of tools that developers can use for enabling ads in mobile apps with “zero lines of code,” and to track the mobile app advertising performance with ease.

According to the said post, the Microsoft Advertising SDK for Windows Phone 7 has been already downloaded a large number of times since its debut in mid-September, even if it is available only for app developers in the US at the moment.
