In preparation for the upcoming Undead Nightmare DLC, Rockstar has just issued a new title update for the highly successful Red Dead Redemption, which will add new features and options to the western game.

Red Dead Redemption has impressed a lot of people when it came out this spring, and has been supported by Rockstar through many downloadable content packs, including ones like Outlaws to the End, Legends and Killers, Liars and Cheats, or the Hunting and Trading outfits pack.

Now, the company is preparing to launch the Undead Nightmare pack, which will add several single-player missions for the game's main protagonist, John Marston, as well as new multiplayer modes like Undead Overrun which we saw last week.

In preparation for the release of the new DLC, Rockstar has also revealed a new title update for the game, taking it to 1.05.

The new patch will be downloaded automatically when you start the game and are connected to either the PlayStation Network or Xbox Live.

Here are some of the big improvements included in the new update for Red Dead Redemption.

-Friendly Free Roam now available for those that wish to play with player-vs-player killing disabled -Markers in preparation for Land Grab in Free Roam, which will be available this week with the installation of Undead Nightmare DLC -Fix for issues with Days Passed being reset -Fix for co-op achievements not advancing after passing into legend -Fix for players griefing by voting each other out of the game in Poker and Liar’s Dice -Permanent clientside unlock for Redemption and Damnation characters (can use them on System Link without Internet connection) -Poker and Grand Prix Leaderboards fixed to correct information displayed

As you can see, Rockstar is taking all the necessary steps to ensure that Red Dead Redemption players will still have an enjoyable experience even with all of the downloadable content packs installed.

If you don't want to download all of them, a special Undead Nightmare edition will be revealed, on a disc, including all of the content released up until now.
