Hate her or love her but Rebecca Black doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon. While working on her follow-up single and debut album, the Internet star has also found the time to shoot a cameo in Katy Perry’s latest video.

Perry has released a teaser for the video for “Last Friday Night (TGIF)” and, smack in the middle of it, there’s a shot of Rebecca Black, The Hollywood Reporter notes.

You can see the teaser for the official video below, embedded at the end of the article.

This is the first time that word gets out of the collaboration, though it shouldn’t probably come as a surprise, especially since Perry previously sang Black’s “Friday” in her concerts.

“The singer, who rose to viral Internet fame with her much-maligned video, ‘Friday,’ appears in a blink-and-you’ll-miss-it scene in the video for Katy Perry’s new song, ‘Last Night Friday (T.G.I.F.)’,” THR writes.

“At the 16-second mark of Perry’s video, below, Black is seen sitting on a couch at a party. (A source confirms to The Hollywood Reporter it’s her.),” adds the same media outlet.

But there’s more to this unexpected cameo, since it seems Perry looked to Black’s “Friday” for inspiration.

“The teaser video to Perry’s new song appears to be a homage to Black’s ‘Friday,’ from the flipping pages in the beginning with the same font to the ‘fun, fun, fun, fun’ refrain,” THR states.

Speaking of fun, fun, fun, not long ago, Black was saying in an interview she was determined to prove to the world that she was a real singer – and that she planned on doing so with her debut album, as we also informed you at the time.

Also then, she revealed that her follow-up single would be called “LOL” and would make more use of her vocals (which she swears she has).

As of this moment, it’s been over a month that nothing has been heard of Rebecca’s artistic aspirations, but do keep an eye on this space.
