Rapid Reality Studios have just revealed through an official press release, the launch of their first MMO game, Phylon. It's already available for you to buy on the game's new, redesigned official website. Basically, Phylon combines a traditional shooter's gameplay elements with those found in the MMO genre.

"We are excited to release Phylon as it represents a lot of work from our team and from gamers who provided tremendous feedback during the beta testing phase, said Tracy Spaight, Rapid Reality's COO. "We hope that players will enjoy the game, in particular, the battle arenas." He also stated, "Through focused surveys and general feedback in our forums, we will continue to tap into the creativity of the gaming community to help shape the game and its future expansions."

If you decide to get your own, you'll be able to join players from around the world as part of the Bloblic Imperium, the Amphibian resistance, or the Terran colonists in their struggle for control of the planet Anura. Instanced battle arenas include Deathmatch and Domination, while gamers can advance in skill and unlock access to hundreds of unique items, including jet packs, energy shields, power-ups, and weapons.

This is what gamers involved with the closed and open Betas of Phylon had to say:

"Overall I am really appreciating the changes you guys (Rapid Reality) are making and have made since beta started. Nice job."

"?I think if the DEV's (Rapid Reality) take all the feedback from these forums they could have a great game on their hands."

"A wild mix of an MMO and a first-person shooter. With Frogs!"

As for the new Phylon website, they've polished it up to look sleeker than ever, sporting new video trailers, top player leader boards, in-game and game art showcases and of course forums. Check it out for the pricing and terms of getting your own copy of Phylon.
