According to the latest news on the Web, there are quite a few things that we might expect to see becoming reality as soon as WES (Wireless Enterprise Symposium) 2009 is here. Rumor has it that Canadian mobile phone maker Research in Motion is set to unveil some surprises for us at the show, among which a 8900 Curve heading towards AT&T can be spotted. It seems that AT&T has already pushed out the official service books, which would point towards the fact that it is getting ready to release the handset in the near future.

Another interesting device expected to be detailed at the Symposium, held by RIM between May 5 to 7 in Orlando, Florida is the BlackBerry 9630 codenamed Niagara, at least this is what BGR reports. We already learned that the handset should come with features borrowed from 8900 Curve and Storm, as well as a keypad that would resemble the one included on Bold a lot, while also featuring a 480 x 360 resolution display, as well as a 3.2-megapixel camera, GPS and the OS 4.7.1.

When it comes to connectivity, the upcoming BlackBerry 9630 should sport dual-band 1xRTT/EV-DO, quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, as well as UMTS/HSDPA. As for the release date, it is expected to become available for purchase sometime in late May in Canada, while also being rumored to come to Verizon in June or July.

Interestingly enough, BRG also reports that RIM would be planning to come to the market with a device that would support the future LTE technology faster than it did with a 3G-capable one, and the company might release a few details on that device in May. The mobile phone maker seems to have already started testing LTE, yet there are little chances that it would actually talk about a compatible device so soon. And while this rumor might become reality after all, another one is unlikely to be proven true in the near future, namely the report that RIM is on its way to have a device sporting a 1GHz processor in the next 9-12 months.
