BlackBerry devices are delivered with an 18 month warranty

Although RIM has yet to introduce its new BlackBerry 7 smartphone in Vietnam, the company announced it has partnered with MobiFone to launch BlackBerry services for the carrier's customers in Vietnam.

The upcoming BlackBerry services will be available via old smartphone models, including BlackBerry Bold 9780, Torch 9800 and Curve 9300.

According to Vietnamese carrier, the BlackBerry services will be available from MobiFone starting this week and will be offered via the aforementioned BlackBerry smartphones.

In addition, both companies announced that BlackBerry Bold 9780, BlackBerry Torch 9800 and BlackBerry Curve 9300 will be available in Vietnam with an 18 month warranty from authorized retail shops supplied by Brightstar Corp.

MobiFone will offer its customers BlackBerry Internet Service for small businesses and individual users and BlackBerry Enterprise Server for corporate customers.

Furthermore, the carrier offers three packages for small businesses and individuals: Basic, Social Month and Chat Month.

All three packages allow customers to access up to 10 supported corporate and personal email accounts, including POP3 / SMTP, IMAP ISP email accounts such as Yahoo! Mail, Gmail, Hotmail.

The carrier also offers two options for enterprise customers: Standard and Pro, which are aimed at organizations that want to manage their own email servers.

RIM's enterprise solution integrates with IBM Lotus Domino, Microsoft Exchange and Novell GroupWise.
