QNAP's become quite well-known for its Atom-powered NAS (network-attached storage) solutions for both the enterprise and home users, and now, the company's back a couple of new products of this type, as a part of their TS-x59 Pro II series.

The new line of QNAP NAS solutions includes several different models, namely the 4-drive TS-459 Pro II, the 5-drive TS-559 Pro II, and the 6-drive TS-659 Pro II, all of which share a couple of common features, starting with the fact that they're built around the Intel Atom D525 dual-core CPU running at 1.8GHz, accompanied by 1GB of DDRIII RAM memory (expandable to 3GB).

As expected, the new storage solutions from QNAP offer a very impressive level of performance, the TS-x59 Pro II family supporting up to 18TB of networked storage, if the users decided to go for 3TB drives in the TS-659 Pro II model.

Additional features worth mentioning include the hot-swappable drives, as well as the extensive support these solutions provide for various RAID configurations, such as 0, 1, 10, 5, 6, 5+ or JBOD.

The TS-x59 Pro II Series also packs plenty of connectivity options, including here dual Gigabit LAN ports with failover and load-balancing, as well as no less than 6 USB ports (1 USB 3.0 front and back panel, and 4 USB 2.0 ports on back panel), plus an additional 2 e-SATA ports.

It's also important to point out that these business-oriented network storage solutions are accompanied by the latest version of the company's NAS management software, supporting a wide array of server applications such as file sharing, FTP server or printer sharing (LAN and Internet), just to name a few.

According to QNAP, their new TS-x59 Pro II family will be available beginning in April via various online retailers, and that's also when we'll find out more details regarding their specific pricing.
