Looks like Tetris really, but it has you thinking in 'multiple dimensions'

Agetec, an entertainment software company founded in 1998, has recently earned the rights to publishing Puzzle Guzzle, a classic puzzle game tailored especially for Sony's PlayStation Portable. Aside the single player game modes, Puzzle Guzzle also features a multiplayer mode where you can go head to head with a friend and see whose mind is quicker on the draw!

Basically players race to assemble triangles and other shapes by rotating marked square pieces. No, this is not a revamped Tetris (although there is a striking resemblance between the two). Read on! It may sound simple at first, but according to the game's fact sheet, winning at Puzzle Guzzle requires that you think in multiple dimensions in order to succeed.

Here's how it goes: as the pieces appear faster and faster (and in more complicated patterns), you can go from trying to finish a level to simply trying to stay alive. Also, as mentioned above, for a greater challenge, you can play Puzzle Guzzle against a friend to see who's got the best skills.

"Puzzle Guzzle is sure to be a game that PSP system owners will love," said Mark Johnson, producer for Agetec, Inc. "It starts out simple enough, but it doesn?t take long before that classic panicked feeling starts taking over as the game becomes progressively more challenging."

Here are some of the game's basic features, as confirmed by Agetec themselves:

- 3 puzzle modes: Quiz, Drop, and Stuffit Puzzles - Each puzzle modes has its own set of game modes such as Challenge Mode - Hundreds of addictive puzzles to play through - Create bigger shapes and chain reactions to score more points - Customize your own mascot by winning parts from your opponents - Exchange profiles with others to send messages - Multiplayer mode allows you to face-off against 5+ players in puzzle mayhem - Use Infrastructure Mode to download your favorite designs and new puzzles - Different mascots have different Attacks in each mode - Each Attack piece type has a different effect on the game field

North American PSP owners will be able to pick up Puzzle Guzzle in Spring 2008. Until then, stick around for possible updates on this upcoming classic puzzle title.
