Not a day goes by that the DS doesn't get a new addition and today is no different as Agetec has revealed that Cookie & Cream has shipped to North American retailers for Nintendo's dual-screened handheld. This title is a superb blend of puzzle and platform, being rated E for Everyone, making great use of the DS's touchscreen capabilities.

Here's the game's description, in short, as I found it in the official report:

When the moon is no longer lighting the night sky, two rabbits - Cookie & Cream - are put in charge of discovering where the nighttime orb has gone to. Their investigation leads them to a mysterious trap-filled island. They'll have to work together if they hope to rescue the errant lunar object in time for the Moon Festival.

Basically, in Cookie & Cream players will have to navigate their way through the diverse worlds on the top screen while solving puzzles and disarming traps on the second screen, below, using the stylus. Played as either a single-player game where one person controls both characters, or as a cooperative game where one person maneuvers Cookie on the top screen while the other is in charge of Cream on the Touch Screen, Cookie & Cream is a unique combination of gaming genres, not found very often within the Nintendo DS's lineup of titles. Players can also take part in 9 fun minigames, or up to four players can play a minigame battle where the fastest to solve the most games wins.

"Cookie & Cream is a much-loved classic on the PlayStation 2," said Mark Johnson, Vice President of Production and Marketing at Agetec, Inc. "The Nintendo DS version improves on the game by taking advantage of the Touch Screen technology. The result is a game that's more fun than the original."

Remember, Cookie & Cream is now available at retailers across North America, being priced at around $29.99, set to sweeten up your gameplay. That didn't sound exactly right did it...?
