The iconic Clydesdale horses are back for another heart-warming commercial

Budweiser has found the recipe for the perfect Super Bowl ad, if there is such a thing: it has to be simple, it has to be unbelievably sweet, and it has to have a message. It also has to feature its iconic Clydesdale horses, so no wonder they’re making a comeback after last year’s superb “Brotherhood” ad.

Above is the company’s ad for the Super Bowl 2014. It takes the viewer back to the Warm Springs Ranch in Missouri, where the company raises the famous horses.

Actor Don Jeanes is also reprising his role from last year, as the head of the Ranch. Next door is a puppy adoption center, where Melissa Keller, actress and model, is raising a bunch of adorable Labrador Retrievers, among other breeds.

One such pup runs away and goes to the Ranch, where it befriends one of the horses. Despite both owners’ attempts to keep him away from his new best friend for ever, the pup always makes his way back to the stables – until one day when he doesn’t, because he’s being taken away.

Worry not though, the story has a very happy ending, one that is so sweet and adorable and heart-warming it would be a shame to spoil it here for you. So, enjoy!
