PriceGrabber, a part of Experian, today announced officially that its Android application is available as a free download from the Android Market. According to the company, the software solution comes with a wide range of appealing features that take advantage of various capabilities of Android devices, including their camera, Internet access, GPS receivers, and more.

“At PriceGrabber, we are dedicated to providing consumers with a comprehensive shopping experience anytime, anywhere and are excited to introduce our new mobile application for Android users,” said Laura Conrad, president of PriceGrabber. “Now, even more consumers can take advantage of the on-the-go, easy access to millions of products available on PriceGrabber.”

PriceGrabber's Android application enables users to easily scan barcodes, after which they would receive info on the best deals available for a product or another from the app's extensive product catalog. At the same time, it also provides users with the possibility to browse and compare products based on product name, UPC, manufacturer's part number and more, or to read reviews about one product or another.

Other features of PriceGrabber's Android application include the possibility to receive the BottomLinePrice, which includes shipping and taxes (based on the GPS location or on a manually entered postal code), the ability to buy products via links to the merchants' websites, to find the best deal for a product or another, create favorites list where one can save products and prices to return to them at a later time, or receive gift suggestions based on category and price.

“We are continually innovating in response to new developments in the mobile technology space, in order to provide consumers with the best set of smart shopping tools and information,” said Barbary Brunner, chief marketing officer at PriceGrabber. “It's really exciting to see the amazing ways PriceGrabber customers are using our mobile technology to educate themselves and optimize their shopping experience.”
