14 DAY TRIAL // Canon has finished making the introduction of its newest camera, as made clear by a press release from Singapore, which describes the latest PowerShot series device.
The photo and video camera market is going forward like the rest of the IT industry, now that higher display resolutions actually give a reason for the existence of high-resolution pictures and video.
Though the idea isn't new, the fact is that regular users did not have much reason to shoot HD videos, or Full HD media, until monitors and digital photo frames gained screens capable of showing off that quality.
The fact that prices for HD-ready and Full HD-ready cameras has been getting more and more manageable definitely helps too.
Canon is the company that made the news recently, making the PowerShot SX150 IS compact camera.
It should already be up for sale through Canon's retail stores, at a price of S$369, in Singapore at least.
That sum of cash will net an item based on a 14.1-megapixel sensor and which boasts 28mm wide-angle lens.
Users will enjoy the 12x zoom, allowing them to easily take high-quality shots of people, buildings, landscapes, etc.
There is also 32-Smart Audi Scene detection, which optimizes camera setting according to what it has in its sight (sunset, clear skies, backlit, etc.).
Furthermore, Photo Book is a function that lets one pre-select favorite shots in camera, allows photo books to easily be set up.
As for the video shooting aspect of the device, there is the Intelligent Image Stabilizer (IS, minimizes shake) and an electronic wind filter, which suppresses wind noise when recording.
Finally, eight Creative Filters can add effects to images (Monochrome, Miniature, Toy Camera, Super Vivid, Fish-eye, Color Accent, Color Swap and Poster).
The product can be paired with the high-power HF-DC2 slim and portable slave flash (enhanced sync performance and wide flash coverage of up to 24m, with attached wide panel). Unfortunately, this accessory's price is not known yet.
