It's official, third-person fans, Strategy First (publisher) and Quotix Software (developer) have revealed that Call for Heroes: Pompolic Wars has gone gold today. Below, you have some official statements from the game's developer and producer respectively and a list of main features featured in the game launching June 19th, this year.

"Call For Heroes will be a great addition to Strategy First's fantasy games collection, and the players are really going to enjoy the combination of an action packed game play with RPG elements," says Attila Siladji, Developer of Call for Heroes: Pompolic Wars.

As for Brock Beaubien, Producer at Strategy First, he sees things more from a gamer's perspective: "Charge into battle and crush evil with your war hammer! Take on the role of a hero and vanquish the damned. Hack and slash your way through this action packed title." He knows his adjectives alright!

Call for Heroes: Pompolic Wars is a third-person action game with RPG elements, set in a fantasy medieval world, where a dimensional portal to the Outer Worlds has opened. While an enemy from the darkness has encroached the world, the armies of demonic hordes have taken over most of the planet, led by a demon named Pompolic. With mysterious origins, Pompolic's malevolent spiritual being possesses supernatural powers. His desire is to possess the people and turn them into minions of his dark army, (as if you didn't expect it), wielding his power through his servants, the Dark Souls.

So, the game features:

- 2 unique characters to choose from - Each character has unique weapons, items and special abilities - Character gains experience which will help him to upgrade his strength, armor and health - 15 special abilities per character - Fantasy/medieval type world divided into 15 levels - 18 different types of monsters and 3 bosses at the end

And, as it is customary today, gamers pre-ordering their own copy of Call for Heroes: Pompolic Wars will receive a free copy of the PC turn-based strategy title Disciples II: Dark Prophesy. But act fast, this promotion is available for pre-orders made until June 19th, 2007. Remember, the game is set for a North American release June 19th, retailing for around 20 bucks.
