Everyone's waiting for the great party in Japan, because the celebration of 20 years of Final Fantasy is a few months away. The event will take place on the 12th and 13th May and there will be a lot of content to feast upon, new games, trailers, pics and the most important info of all: details about a new Final Fantasy game, that's now a mystery to all of us. It's not the wonderful Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings for the Nintendo DS, nor the Final Fantasy XIII, in its Versus or standard version for the PS3.

It's so not Square-Enix-like to keep something hidden from their fans, especially if we're talking about a new Final Fantasy game. Our best guess would be a remake of the best game in the series. Yes, you've guessed, it's Final Fantasy VII, the first game of the series to get its own movie (Advent Children) and the second to have a sequel (Dirge of Cerberus). We'll just have to wait and see, being puzzled in the meantime by the fact that Hironobu Sakaguchi, the FF guru declared that Square-Enix are rather keen on changing platform, porting their famous RPG series to the Xbox 360. That's not entirely the company's decision, as Sony made the PS3 an open platform and its games will be extremely easy to port on all the other consoles.

A new Final Fantasy MMORPG could really use the Xbox Live! services, since the eleventh installment worked pretty well while being played online in its PC and Xbox versions. Till May comes, we can only drool over the monthly trailers that Square releases for their die-hard fans.
