The Nintendo made 3DS handheld has managed to once again top the Japanese hardware chart, as compiled by Media Create, while the Sony-created PlayStation Vita has once again seen a slow-down as a PSP game has managed to top the software chart.

The Nintendo 3DS has managed to sell 76,322 units for the week that has ended on February 26, which is a decline over the 94,667 devices that were moved to players during the previous seven-day period.

The PlayStation 3 home console from Sony has continued to keep second place in the hardware chart and has even managed to post an increase in sales, reaching 27,111 units coming from 21,993 during the previous week while the older PSP version has also managed to see a slight rise in sales, coming in at 15,928 from 14,824.

The PlayStation Vita, which was recently announced as having sold more than 1.2 million units worldwide, has seen yet another decline, reaching just 11,186 units sold during one week after posting sales figures of 12,309 during the previously tracked period.

The Nintendo Wii continues to stay under the 10,000 sales mark, at 7,878, followed by the Xbox 360 from Microsoft, the PlayStation 2 from Sony and the older DSi model, both selling less than 1,000 units.

When it comes to the video game chart, the leader for the week was Tales of the Heroes Twin Brave from Namco Bandai, which was launched for the PlayStation Portable handheld and has managed to sell 85,309 copies during its launch week.

Harvest Moon Hajimari no Daichi from Marvelous AQL, for the Nintendo 3DS, has taken over second position with sales of 81,131 while the last place on the podium was occupied by Naruto Ultimate Storm Generation, which Namco Bandai has launched on the PlayStation 3, with sales of 65,758.
