World of Warcraft is one of the most popular video games out there, gaining a cult-like following in the over 11,5 million subscribers it has. It has won for its developer and publisher, Blizzard, a huge amount of money, but now it seems that the massively successful MMORPG can also generate a decent amount of income for other companies as well.

PopCap is the latest to enter the series of big companies to bring add-ons to World of Warcraft, as it has just announced that it has made available one of its hugely successful casual puzzle titles, Peggle. After releasing Bejeweled a few months ago, thanks to the efforts of an independent modder, the company has now decided to further attract WoW players and launch a completely free add-on, which can be played during the more boring times of the game.

“After we successfully brought the Bejeweled experience into WoW, the PopCap Guild decided to tackle another of our favorite things: Peggle,” PopCap revealed. “We wanted something more competitive that we could use to settle loot disputes and challenge each other while we waited for that last raid member to log on. We've packed in some great touches for the add-on version of Peggle, and now it's ready to be shared with the world!”

However, this won't be any usual version of Peggle modded in order to run in Blizzard's game, as it will have a variety of new features in order to enhance the experience:

Quick Play mode with 12 stages based on major locations in WoW. Two Peggle masters, alongside a Peggle Talent Tree! Duel Mode: Compete in a quick match against other players! Battle Mode: Create custom leaderboards for friends and guildmates! Peggleloot: A hilarious new way to “roll” for loot! Best shot gets the item!

All in all, PopCap made a great move, as it brought together two very addictive titles in a move that would generate an even bigger amount of profit for both it and Blizzard. You can download the game from PopCap's special WoW website.
