Dylan Cuthbert, the founder of Q-Games, took the time to mention some of the new features in a blog post on the official PlayStation website. He says that the games they are making at Q have now a quicker than usual development cycle, so they are able to implement features at a much faster pace than other developers. He also referenced PixelJunk Monsters as one of the first games to offer complete "Dual-Shock 3 support."

For PixelJunk Eden, they are planning to add PlayStation Network Trophies and support for a feature that will allow people to get clips made in-game on YouTube. Cuthbert says "pushing one button to start and one button to stop and upload" will be all that it will take to get a user-made video on YouTube.

The game will most likely not feature one of the more coveted Platinum Trophies like, for example, the PlayStation 3 version of BioShock has. Nevertheless, the game will have Bronze, Silver and Gold Trophies that players will be able collect.

He continued by saying that, Trophy-wise, "you can get a bronze trophy for opening every 'seed' in a stage," before making sure that the game should not be considered too easy because of that, as "this is quite a challenge on some of the stages as the gardens are large and expansive." There are other Trophies in the game as well, most of which are related to the collection of certain in-game items.

The comment thread accompanying the blog posts also holds a gem, as one of the associate producers for the game declared that it would be released on July 31. It also seems that the demo for the game will most likely become available on the PlayStation Network, sometime on Friday or later this weekend.

PixelJunk Monsters will, apparently, also get Trophy support via a patch that will arrive as soon as the developers get around to creating it.
