Apple has been quite leaky recently, with not one, but two prototype iPhones getting in the hands of non-authorized individuals, and now an updated 13-inch MacBook emerges, which the company most likely plans to introduce later this week. The same Vietnamese forum (Tinhte.com) that leaked Apple’s second-lost iPhone 4G is responsible for leaked images, and a video of the upcoming MacBook model.

Forum poster sonlazio outlines that Apple forgot about its white, polycarbonate MacBook as it upgraded the aluminum Pro line of laptops last month. Following a typical pull of its online store from the web last month, the 13-inch MacBook Pro got a faster Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 4GB of RAM, a ten-hour built-in battery and the new NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics processor.

According to the leak by Tinhte.com, the last one is now present in the unibody, policarbonate 13-inch MacBook as well, although Apple is yet to confirm / introduce the updated computer. The device retains the 2GB of standard memory it ships with today, but ups the processor’s ante to 2.4GHz (Core 2 Duo). Apple’s White MacBook will ship with an improved, LED-backlit display, going by the list of specs photographed by users of the Vietnamese forum. Also worth noting as a hardware upgrade is the new AC adapter the MacBook is going to ship with. Apple quietly updated the MagSafe power adapters that shipped with portable Macs last month, improving the metal tip that connected to the laptops.

If history is any indication, Apple will take its online store offline tomorrow, posting the routine “We’ll be back soon” sign that signals that the venue is undergoing maintenance. Apple sometimes updates its store listings on Fridays, although Tuesday is the company’s preferred weekday for such announcements. In fact, the update may be considered minor, therefore will not be met with much fanfare (or even a press release).

Pictures and a video of the updated device can be found below. Particularly, the last three images show that the system is running Mac OS X 10.6.3 - the latest version of Apple’s Snow Leopard operating system - and confirm the list of specs Softpedia posted in its original report covering Vietnam’s latest leak.
