14 DAY TRIAL // Some time ago, Katie Couric dared go in front of a camera and say out loud that she, like millions of people on this planet, did not understand why Kim Kardashian was famous. You may have forgotten all about that, but Kim hasn’t.
If anything, she’s still holding a grudge over it.
The photo above is an Instragram pic of the present and note (which doesn’t make any sense because of what I assume is a printing error) Katie sent Kim on the occasion of the birth of her and Kanye West’s daughter.
Kim tagged it with “I hate fake media friends” and “May I humbly suggest you not send gifts then talk [expletive].”
I might be wrong (I know I’m not), but I think someone’s still pretty upset.
As the photo went viral, Katie felt the need to apologize to Kim. As if this couldn’t get any weirder.
“I've met Kim before and I think she's a really sweet person. I was responding to a reporter's question, and explaining how I'm intrigued by the public's fascination with her family,” she says in a statement to TMZ.
“I didn’t mean to hurt her feelings. The gift is genuine, and I'm happy for Kim and Kanye,” Katie adds.
