Mob4Hire and Perfecto Mobile announced today the forming of a partnership aimed at offering help to developers of mobile applications in the currently fragmented mobile industry. The duo will put together the resources they already offer for the mobile industry, including Perfecto Mobile's service for remote access to real mobile devices and Mob4Hire's expertise in crowd-sourced mobile application testing and Market Research. At the same time, the pair revealed they planned on helping developers test applications for the industry, which should rise to $25 billion in sales by 2014, according to Juniper Research's estimations.

“Because we are a broker in the mobile application testing industry, we can act as an additional marketing arm for Perfecto Mobile while increasing their global coverage. Their customers can access Mob4Hire testers when it's time to test mobility applications like location based services and voice quality and we can also utilize our testers to determine customer loyalty and customer experience,” states Stephen King, CEO, Mob4Hire. “Conversely, our customers will have access to the leading edge, remote access technology that Perfecto Mobile brings to the table. At the end of the day, it is all about making mobile software better,” said King.

The partnership between the two companies should result in marketing efforts and in the provision of access to the mobile application testing systems each of them offers. Developers can gain remote access to handsets through the Perfecto Mobile Handset Cloud with a multitude of automated tests, while Mob4Hire already enjoys a community of 40,000 members in 146 countries on 364 different networks. Mob4Hire's crowd-sourced methodology is used for the building of cost-effective and timely market research, the company notes.

“We believe this cooperation will help make both companies stronger,” says Eran Yaniv, CEO, Perfecto Mobile. “The challenge that mobile developers face is daunting. We use complimentary methods to solve the full spectrum of mobile testing problems. When the Perfecto Mobile Handset Cloud meets Mob4Hire's testers Crowd, developers enjoy a variety of solutions that help them lower market barriers, save costs, shorten time to market and achieve higher overall quality of service.”

According to the two companies, the mobile fragmentation is currently seen as a $3 billion problem. Developers have to make sure that their software solutions are working on all the devices and networks in the world, not to mention the large number of mobile operating systems on the market today. This means that developers have to make location-specific testing of their applications, and, since the market of mobile software solutions is increasing due to the emergence of app stores, Mob4Hire and Perfecto Mobile plan on helping developers in their pursue.
