Lately, multi-function printers have started to add more and more features to their specs list, Panasonic just coming out with an eight-in-one multifunction laser printer for the SOHO market that comes with a networked fax, color scanner and an integrated Panasonic DECT 6.0 phone.

Destined to come as a great addition to all small businesses, the KX-MB2061 includes a laser printer that can reach speeds of up to 24 ppm as well as a networked color scanner.

These regular MFP features are augmented by the presence of a G3 fax module that supports paperless fax reception by utilizing advanced algorithms to convert incoming faxes to standard PDF files, the KX-MB2061 also allowing for voice messages to be automatically delivered to a users e-mail account or smartphones as a regular audio file.

Furthermore, the unit comes with a Panasonic DECT 6.0 telephone, the KX-MB2061 supporting as many as six cordless handsets and a digital answering system to be connected simultaneously.

"The idea behind all that last-generation hardware is that paper documents, landline phones, smart phones and email are separate and distinct entities, but they're really not." Panasonic System Networks Company of America President Bill Taylor said.

"Their basic function is identical, they're communication devices.

The KX-MB2061 is a new-concept multifunction product that stands alone in delivering a solution for a myriad of those communication needs in a single compact, cost-effective, high performance package," concluded the company's rep.

Carrying a suggested retail price of $249, the Panasonic KX-MB2061 ships with one corded telephone headset, one cordless DECT 6.0 headset, Readiris Pro 7 optical character recognition software, and Panasonic's proprietary Easy Print Utility.

At this price, this is a truly nice option for all those users that need all the features the KX-MB2061 brings to the table considering how much would all these set you back if purchased separately.
