Cingular customers have had to wait a pretty long time before seeing this one available, but it's here now. And a CES release was expected of Palm, especially after the presentation slide that let us know that the Treo 750 would not keep us waiting long before being presented.

The five-band world phone runs on Windows Mobile 5.0 and mainly targets the business users, sporting features such as e-mail, security and web access on the go, a QWERTY keyboard that makes e-mail composing and document editing easier and more convenient as well as the standard Windows Mobile software such as Media Player, Internet Explorer, Word and Excel.

Equipped with a unique suite of software for the business users as well as a 1.3 megapixel camera, 240 x 240 pixel touch screen, Bluetooth with stereo headset support, 60MB internal memory and the capability of expanding the internal memory to up to 2GB via a MiniSD card slot, the Palm Treo 750 manages to provide the fun features as well, apart from functionality.

"Designed with the business customer in mind, the Treo 750 brings together the speed of Cingular's BroadbandConnect service and broad solutions portfolio with Palm's hallmark ease of use and functionality on top of the familiar Windows Mobile 5.0 operating system," said Michael Woodward, executive director, mobile professional solutions, for Cingular Wireless. "The new Treo 750 will deliver that extra edge that all customers are looking for to take their business to the next level, whether they are on the other side of town, across the country or halfway around the world."

The Treo 750 will initially be UMTS enabled with a free upgrade to Cingular's HSPDA technology scheduled for later in 2007. It is now available on Cingular for $399.99 with a two-year contract and e-mail rebate.
