Today, wireless carrier O2 UK announced that it would soon add two new devices to its offering, namely the Palm Pre Plus and Pixi Plus. Both webOS-based handsets are set to make an appearance on the operator's airwaves as soon as May 28, being put on sale both via the company's stores and online on its website. Palm Pre Plus should become available for £99 on a £25 price plan with a 24-month contract, and free on plans starting at £35 per month, while Pixi Plus will cost £49 on the £25 plan, and will be free on plans starting at £30 per month.

“We are excited to bring Pre Plus and Pixi Plus to the market for O2 customers,” said Jon Rubinstein, Palm chairman and chief executive officer. “With the choice of these two new Palm webOS phones, customers across the UK can stay connected, so they never miss a thing.” Both Palm webOS phones come with touchscreen displays and QWERTY keyboards, while being able to offer great Internet browsing capabilities, and more.

With Pre Plus, users will get a sliding device that sports 16GB of storage for apps and media, a unique gesture area and intuitive navigation. Pixi Plus is Palm’s thinnest phone, easily proving a great device for social communication. Both devices include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, integrated GPS, USB mass storage mode, desktop-class web browser, accelerometer, Proximity sensor, Light sensor, High-speed connectivity features, universal search, and fast access to the Palm App catalog, from where users can download a great deal of applications for their mobile phones.
