Sony's handheld game console has finally received an update. As it first saw the light of day on December 24, its manufacturer Sony decided to fix some glitches and released an update.

This new PSP firmware upgrades the console from 2.81 to 2.82. This update will not be as spectacular as it may sound as all that it does is to fix a few security measures. Those who want to get the exact update can do it via their own PSPs or via the YourPSP.com website.

As Halloween is just a few days away, Sony has decided to release a free demo of LocoRoco. The game was initially released during the summer of this year worldwide. It features only a single-player mode, and registered a large amount of success due to its ESRB rating, "E" for everyone.

The PSP allows players to play their favorite games, anywhere and everywhere they please, watch UMD videos, view photos, and it also features Internet functionality. The Sony PSP website also allows players to download game demos into the consoles' memory stick. The best sold game so far on the PSP is Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories.
