It's official, Sierra Entertainment has finally given PS3 users a reason to use their quite expensive piece of hardware to the fullest and that is the popular, paranormal frenetic first-person shooter F.E.A.R. (short for First Encounter Assault Recon). It hits store shelves April 24th. The game has already seen its PC and Xbox 360 porting, yet a PS3 installment has ling been waited for. So, to further make PS3 gamers' day, here's what this paranormal FPS is all about.

F.E.A.R. will have players experiencing the spine-chilling story of an elite soldier trained to deal with unusual situations others can't even imagine. Called in to confront a murderous force, the player must contain a crisis spiraling out of control. Gamers will discover the true meaning of F.E.A.R. in this unique fusion of stylized FPS combat and supernatural suspense. I know what you're saying: give me something to chew on here, i don't give a crap about the story-line!" Oh, you're so shallow! Very well then.

As you've probably imagined already, a PS3 porting of F.E.A.R will have the most stunning of visual effects and intense "action movies" that capture players form the first 5 minutes of play. Then there are the unpredictable encounters with combat adaptable A.I. Not knowing what the person with a gun in front of you is going to do doesn't come as an advantage to you, but it sure beats the crap out of continues repeatedly happening the same. As far as multiplayer support is concerned, up to 16 players can jump in on the action.

Plyers will also have Instant Action Mode, which is a new arcade style mode filled with close quarters battles tracking player progress via leader boards for the PlayStation Network. Something totally new however: there will be an exclusive PS3 level and weapon giving a gamer the unique experience solely for PS3 owners. Remember, F.E.A.R. Hits store shelves in April on the 24th.
