PNY, one of Nvidia's closest partners in the desktop and workstation market, has announced the launch of the XLR8 GeForce GTX 560 Ti Enthusiast Edition graphics card, based on the company's recently released GF114 graphics core.

Unlike most other GTX 560 Ti solutions that made they way onto the market, PNY's card strictly follows Nvidia's reference board design, using the same cooling system and, as far as I can tell, the same PBC layout.

However, the XLR8 GeForce GTX 560 Ti is paired together with one of the most impressive bundles that I have seen in a while, including a 10-feet high speed mini-HDMI to HDMI Cable, which is valued by the company at $39.99.

In addition, the package also contains a 3-month subscription to E-Sports Entertainment (ESEA) Premium Video Game Network and a bonus full-length movie download from Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.

“Definitely a gaming enthusiast’s graphics card, the GTX 560 Ti offers an exceptional price versus performance value to consumers,” said Nicholas Mauro, senior marketing manager, PC components for PNY.

“Featuring all the premium GTX gaming technologies and best in class performance, the 560 will clearly be one of the most appealing graphics cards in our extensive line-up,” concluded the company's rep.

PNY's XLR8 GTX 560 Ti graphics card is based on Nvidia's recently launched GF114 core that features 384 stream processors, 64 texturing units, 32 ROPs as well as a 256-bit wide memory bus that connects the 1GB of video buffer to the GPU.

Its operating frequencies are set at 822MHz for the core and 1002MHz (4008MHz effective data rate) for the GDDR5 memory.

As is the case with all the other GTX 500-series cards, the GF114 is built using TSMC's 40nm fabrication process.

The XLR8 GeForce GTX 560 Ti Enthusiast Edition graphics card is available right now for purchase, from the company's website as well as from various retailers, and is priced at $249.99.
